  • Francie Mathes

    Francie Mathes

    FOUNDER

    For over 30 years Francie has worked extensively on supporting non-profits, Tribal Nations and Local Governments in providing programs and services designed to relieve poverty to people with low-incomes. With broad experience working with government and nonprofit organizations at the state and national levels, she is proficient in program management, advancing agency culture, providing training and technical assistance for organizational improvement and compliance. 

    Francie is a nationally certified trainer, providing results-oriented, and best practices training, community assessment, organizational standards and training on Board roles and fiduciary responsibilities for organizations. She works with organizations to explore strategies and develop systems for continuous improvement, accountability and innovation.  

    She has developed policy for individuals and families experiencing poverty, worked with State Legislatures, and has a special interest in helping organizations improve outcomes, and ensure programs are delivering effective responsive services, and support a culture of equity, inclusion and diversity.

  • Wanda N. Walker

    Wanda N. Walker

    FOUNDER

    Wanda is a founding partner of FMW Nonprofit Solutions, bringing over 30 years of expertise in strategic planning, process improvement, growth strategy development, organizational leadership, program design and evaluation, and team management. Her diverse client portfolio includes organizations in education, faith-based institutions, public health, youth development, community action agencies, and other mission-driven sectors.

    Wanda earned her Master of Social Work in Administration from the University of Cincinnati, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Ohio Wesleyan University. She is a Six Sigma Green Belt, a Certified ROI Professional, and has additional certifications in Virtual Facilitation, Virtual Production, Real Colors, and as a Better Teams Consultant. Wanda is pursuing a Doctorate in Human Services, specializing in Leadership and Organizational Management.

  • Marcy Harris

    Marcy Harris

    FOUNDER

    Marcy Harris brings a strong passion for serving the nonprofit community to her roles with FMW Nonprofit Services. 

    With over 30 years as an attorney practicing in the nonprofit law arena, Marcy has focused in working with and for nonprofit organizations and their Boards. A versatile advisor, she’s conducted training on Board roles and responsibilities, fiduciary obligations, and strategic planning, and operational standards for nonprofits. Marcy leads the Fiscal Sponsorship and administrative assistance services we offer.  

    She provides legal services to nonprofit organizations through her legal practice and regularly volunteers with LegalCORPS via its nonprofit clinics and taking on pro bono clients.  Marcy is a member of the National Network of Fiscal Sponsors and the Minnesota State Bar Association (serving on the High School Mock Trial Committee).  She is a Better Teams™ Facilitator/Consultant. 

  • Kuʻulei Akeakamai

    Kuʻulei Akeakamai

    OPERATIONS

    Kuʻuleipoinaʻole "Bex" Akeakamai (all pronouns) is a māhū organizer whose experience within the Kanaka Diaspora has helped shaped their understanding of community, socialism, sovereignty, and identity.

    Over 20 years ago they began their journey with the cultural nonprofit Polynesia! Polynesia! Since then Kuʻulei's work has spanned from food sovereignty, water rights, restorative justice, and more.

    They graduated with a BA in Anthropology and Linguistics from New York University, and hold certifications in facilitation, data science, and non-profit management.
